Whoever said that one cannot live on dessert alone has clearly never eaten a cannoli, so in the name of self-preservation, Pasticceria Caruso is saving the day with its Cannoli Survival Kit ($35).
Included in your box is the makings for 15 mini cannolis: 15 pre-made cannoli pastry shells and two sealed bags of custard (chocolate and vanilla). Your only job is to cut off the top of the piping bag and commence filling.
“Ordering packs like our cannoli survival kit or sending a gift pack of desserts and sending to a loved one who’s having a birthday or going online and using our easy online ordering and delivery system is a way of helping us stay open,” says Giuseppe Caruso, Pasticceria Caruso’s founder.
“I’ve purposely stood nobody down from our cake making headquarters, simply shuffled hours around to make sure everyone is still working, as these people are like family, they have bills, and I don’t want them to not have a job.”
